Express Entry

Express Entry is an online system that we use to manage immigration applications from skilled workers.There are 3 immigration programs managed through Express Entry:
Federal Skilled workers, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skill Trades

Federal Skilled Worker
The Federal Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who have work experience and want to become permanent residents.
To be eligible, you must meet all the minimum requirements for:
• skilled work experience: Skilled work experience means that you’ve worked in 1 of these National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER categories: TEER 0/ TEER 1/ TEER 2/ TEER 3
You must show that while working in your primary occupation, you performed:
• the actions in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC
• most of the main duties listed
• language ability
• education

Federal Skilled Trades

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade.
To be eligible, you must meet all the minimum requirements for your
• skilled trades work experience: have at least 2 years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in a skilled trade within the 5 years before you apply and meet the job requirements for that skilled trade as set out in the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
show that you performed:
- the actions in the lead statement of the occupational description in the NOC
- most of the main duties listed
• job offer or certificate of qualification
• language ability

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.

Minimum requirements
To be eligible, you must meet all the minimum requirements for
• Canadian skilled work experience: have at least 1 year of skilled work experience in Canada (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) in the 3 years before you apply have gained your work experience by working in Canada while authorized to work under temporary resident status
show that you performed:
- the actions in the lead statement of theccupational description in the National Occupational Classification (NOC)
- most of the main duties listed
• language ability
